New Delhi: The company has launched its global job cuts on the orders of Elon Musk, the new owner of social media platform Twitter. Indian employees have also been laid off. In India, the layoffs have just begun, and on Friday they restored outside access to 200 employees. When the employees tried to log in late in the afternoon, they found that their access had been taken away.

Musk is believed to have taken this step to utilise his $44 billion acquisition and to keep the company free from the effects of the recession. It is worth noting that the world’s richest businessman Elon Musk tookover Twitter last week. As soon as the company took over, its India CEO Parag Agarwal was sacked from the job.

Employees of Twitter India, who lost their jobs, informed the media that they had been thrown out.
