New Delhi : Delhi’s pollution case reaches supreme court. Air pollution in the capital has reached serious levels. People have become helpless against the poison. The air quality index in Delhi and adjoining areas is above the danger mark. The pollution case reached the Supreme Court on Monday, at a time when life in the capital has become complicated.
In Punjab and Haryana, the pollution level in Delhi has been steadily increasing due to stubble burning in the fields during the post-harvest period. A public interest litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court today. The petitioner had urged Chief Justice of India U U Lalit for an early hearing as it was a sensitive matter and related to the lives of people. The court said the matter will come up for hearing on 10.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi’s air quality-339 was recorded on Sunday evening. Similarly, it was recorded at 381 points on Saturday, 447 points in pollution level on Friday and 450 points in Gurba. Air pollution has left delhiites devastated.
