A historic announcement by the BCCI. Indian cricket is over

The BCCI has made a big announcement for Indian cricketers. Men’s and women’s players will get equal dues. That is, the more money the male player used to get for a match, now the women players will also get the same amount of money. BCCI secretary Jay Shah made the big announcement in a tweet. Jay Shah tweeted, “THE BCCI has taken this historic step to remove the bias in Indian cricket. The board has decided to implement the same match fee policy for contract women. In the new era of gender equality in Indian cricket, both men’s and women’s cricketers will be paid equal match fees.

Bcci’s big decision

  • Men’s and women’s cricketers will get the same match fees
  • Rs 15 lakh per Test match
  • Rs 6 lakh per day
  • Rs 3 lakh per T20 match
  • Earlier, the Test match fee was Rs 4 lakh.
  • 2 lakhs for one-day matches
  • Two and a half lakh rupees were given for the T20 match

There has been a lot of talk about why the salaries of women’s and men’s cricketers are different. Some boards have tried to resolve the matter and some are still implementing it. New Zealand were the first to try to bridge the gap. Three months ago, the New Zealand Cricket Board announced that their women and men’s cricketers would get the same match fees. After this new announcement, new Zealand’s men’s and women’s cricketers will be given 10,250 New Zealand dollars as match fees. Rs 4,000 will be given for ODIs and Rs 2,500 for T20Is. Pakistan had also increased the salaries of its women cricketers. Recently, the Pakistan Cricket Board had increased the fees of women cricketers by 15 percent in the central contract. The board had recently approved a budget of Rs 15 billion. The PCB had also increased the salaries of men’s cricketers by 10 per cent. Australia also increased the budget of women cricketers from $7.5 million to $55.2 million.

Big women cricketers like Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Mithali Raj have been demanding the same for the same. The BCCI has taken a big step by giving importance to this demand, albeit late. Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the women’s IPL.
