Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will campaign for the by-election in Dhamnagar. The BJD chief will campaign virtually on May 31. Rajya Sabha MP Manas Mangraj confirmed the news.
In the Dhamnagar by-election, there will be a glimpse of the Balasore and Tirtol by-elections held in 2020. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will run for office in the same two elections on October 31, 2019.
Both Balasore and Tirtol bypolls were held on November 3, 2020. Two years ago, on October 31, the Chief Minister had campaigned virtually. Now after two years, history will come back. On the same date, the chief minister will again hold a virtual campaign in the Dhamnagar bypoll. The BJD, like winning all the by-elections it had contested earlier, will win this election by a huge margin. The senior leader said all the credit goes to party chief Naveen.
