Four bodies of a family recovered from a locked house in Bargarh Bheden area

A chest-thumping incident took place in Bargarh Bheden Jamdol village. Four members of a family living in Kandapara have reportedly died. The deceased have been identified as husband, wife, son, and daughter. According to police, the bodies of Sheshdev Meher(65), his wife Kshireshwari Meher (60), son Arvind Meher (30) and daughter Srivani Meher (22) were found inside the house.

In the evening, when people were moving around, the smell emanated from the house. After informing the police, a platoon of police force including IIC Sangeeta Mohapatra, Fandi officer, Additional Tahsildar reached the spot and investigated the matter. Police force has been deployed in front of the house. There is a lot of talk about whether it is murder or suicide as the door is closed from the back of the house. Thousands of people have been gathering in the village for the last four days on the occasion of Kali Puja. So the neighbours didn’t say anything as the door was closed. They thought they would have fallen asleep seeing the journey. The villagers say that no one has any enmity with the family of the deceased Sheshdev Meher. The incident has taken everyone by surprise. The body will be recovered today, police said. It is suspected to be 2-3 days ago.
