Lahore : Pakistan Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was killed by assassinated assassinated naveed Muhammad Bashir for 20,000 Pakistani rupees. The police gave this information after arresting two more suspects in the case on Friday. The two arrested men are suspected to have sold guns and bullets to Naveed.

Imran Khan was attacked in Wazirabad on Thursday afternoon. Imran was on his way to a long march against the Pakistan government when his rally was shot at. Imran was in a container when the shooting took place. Naveed said the police had made up their mind to kill Imran for misleading people during interrogation. According to the police, Bakas and Sajid Butt had given a pistol and bullets to Naveed. For this, they took 20,000 Pakistani rupees from Naveed.

The pistol seized from Naveed did not have any number. While it is an illegal weapon, two persons have been arrested from Wazirabad for selling the weapon. According to eyewitnesses, Naveed fired at Imran’s container from close range. Pakistan Home Minister and PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah on Friday termed the attack on Khan as “due to religious extremism”. “Imran is not our political rival enemy,” Sanaullah said. He, however, said the allegations levelled by Khan and his party were “unfortunate”.
