Hemant Soren gets relief from Supreme Court, The court refused to hear the case.

New Delhi : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who is embroiled in an illegal mining case, has got relief. The highest court turned down a case against Soren that was in the public interest. It was about investments, mining, and the way leases were given out in shell companies. It also set aside the Jharkhand High Court verdict.

A PUBLIC interest litigation (PIL) was filed against the Jharkhand chief minister over illegal extraction of mineral resources, irregularities in distribution of lease leases and investment in shell companies. The Jharkhand High Court had ordered an inquiry into it as fit for hearing. However, Soren opposed it and approached the Supreme Court. The court has categorically refused to hear the PIL but set aside the high court’s verdict. After getting relief from the Supreme Court, Mehant Soren tweeted Satyameya Jayate.

Hemant had earlier opposed the PIL seeking a PROBE by the CBI and the ED. Soren said the opposition was conspiring to destabilise the stable government in Jharkhand. Following the complaint, the Election Commission also conducted an inquiry into the matter.
