Huge crowd of devotees at Srijiu’s Trivikram

Puri : Today, on the trayodashi tithi of Panchuka, shrijiu’s adikia or trivikram besh is being held in the temple. After the completion of the Lord’s vacation policy, the priestly servants perform this ritual.

However, in the garb of Adikia or Trivikram, the head of Lord Jagannath and Lord Balabhadra is attached to the head. This chulha is made of two soles, kana, cane, zari, jambura, kainth glue, etc. Apart from this, gold is also made of silver, which is dug in the adbagh. The golden chandrika is also scratched at the top of the head of the two brothers, including mother Subhadra. Various gold ornaments such as ghagadamali, barkolimali, padmamali, guinea mali, paddamali, shripayar, shribhuj, haridamali, bahadamali, hal, musal, conch shell, chakra and pat vastra etc. are adorned with adkia or trivikram.

Therefore, there is a huge gathering of devotees in the temple as it is believed that seeing this dress brings immense virtue. All arrangements have been made by the district, police and the temple administration keeping in view the safety and convenience of the devotees coming to visit the temple.
