New Delhi: The Indian currency has strengthened against the US dollar. On Friday, the rupee appreciated by 47 paise to close at 82.41 against the US dollar. The Indian market opened at 82.85 on the interbank foreign exchange market. And by the end, it closed at 82.41. The Indian currency had strengthened by 47 paise against the US currency today. The Indian economy should do well because the value of the currency went up after domestic stocks did well.
The Indian currency depreciated by 8 paise on Thursday. As a result, the value of the American currency reached Rs 82.88. On the other hand, the US dollar has depreciated today. It declined by 0.34 per cent to 112.54. On the other hand, the price of crude oil has increased by 2.05 to US$ 96.61.
Gaurang Somaiya of Motilal Oswal Financial Services said that not only the Indian currency, but also the value of the euro and the pound have increased after the fall in the value of the dollar.
