Kejriwal announces ‘Isudan Garhvi’ to be AAP’s chief ministerial candidate in Gujarat

New Delhi : Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has clarified the face of his party’s chief minister in Gujarat. Kejriwal on Friday announced Isudan Gadhvi as his party’s chief ministerial face. Earlier on October 29, Kejriwal had held a press conference in Gujarat’s Surat and asked who people want to see as the chief minister.

The names of Patidar leaders Gopal Italia, Alpesh Katheria, Indraneel Rajyaguru and Manoj Surathia, who quit the Congress to join the AAP, were doing the rounds to become aap’s chief ministerial face in Gujarat. However, the party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has declared former journalist Isudan Garhvi as the party’s chief ministerial candidate based on the people’s verdict.

Isudan Gadhvi is currently the national joint general secretary of the Aam Aadmi Party.  However, 16,48,500 people of Gujarat have given their verdict to make Garhvi the chief ministerial candidate. Kejriwal said the decision was taken on the basis of people’s verdict. The people of the state have fielded Garhvi as the chief ministerial candidate. Therefore, Gadkari will be the chief ministerial face in the state,” Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal said That Gujarat is moving towards change. Aap will be a new engine and a new hope,” Kejriwal said. On October 29, Kejriwal held a press conference in Surat and asked people who they wanted to see as chief minister. Kejriwal had issued a number to inform about this and asked people to call or inform them by Thursday evening on WhatsApp by Thursday evening.
