Bhubaneswar: The mercury has dropped. It’s a mild cold. Night temperatures hovered between 15 degrees Celsius at five places. The minimum temperature was recorded at 13 degrees Celsius in Daringibadi, 13 degrees Celsius in Koraput, 13.5 degrees Celsius in Phulbani, 13.5 degrees Celsius in Boudh and 15 degrees Celsius in Bhawanipatna. Apart from this, the night temperature in Deogarh was 16, Keonjhar 16 and Jharsuguda 16.6 degrees Celsius.
The meteorological department has predicted that the weather is unlikely to change till Next 16. The night temperature is likely to drop by another 2-3 degrees in the next three days. Night temperatures will drop further, especially in the interior areas. The night temperature has dropped by 1 to 2 degrees from what it was two days ago. The mercury is likely to hover around 10 degrees Celsius at some places on 14.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted that a low-pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas around 16.
