Singh is said to have given diwali gifts to elected representatives of the constituency. The gift she gave contained Rs 1 lakh, 144 grams of gold, 1 kg of silver, a silk saree, a dhoti and a dry fruit box. However, a picture of this gift box is now going viral on social media.
According to reports, Singh gave two types of gifts. The gift box given to the civic representative contained Rs 1 lakh in cash, 144 grams of gold, 1 kg of silver, a silk saree, a dhoti and a dry fruit box. Similarly, the elected panchayat members will be given less money and other items other than gold
Supporters of Sapet Singh said the minister gives such gift boxes every year. But it is being muddled as there are elections ahead. Apart from the elected representatives, officials and some important persons have also been given gifts, they added.
