Minitruck loaded with utensils gutted, goods worth lakhs of rupees damaged

Sambalpur : Goods worth lakhs of rupees were gutted in a fire that broke out in a minitruck. The incident took place at Kaithshahi, near Redhakhol police station. According to reports, a minitruck belonging to a businessman near the mosque in Kaith Sahi, barely 200 metres from Redhakhol police station, was loaded with kansa, brass, steel, and copper items worth lakhs of rupees.

As usual, the businessman went home after finishing the haat and keeping the truck safely with the same load. Suddenly, late in the night, the vehicle was reported to have caught fire. Firefighters came and doused the fire. However, there has been a loss of around Rs 10 lakh. Businessman Narsingh Nath Nayak has lodged a complaint with the police station alleging that someone had set the fire on fire.
