Terrorists have once again targeted Jammu and Kashmir. A civilian was shot dead by militants in the Shopian district. The deceased has been identified as Puran Krishna Bhat, a Kashmiri Pandit. He was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him dead. So far, no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the incident.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and are on the lookout for the killers. Two to three terrorists are said to have carried out the attack. Kashmir Zone Police tweeted about the incident. The police have no information about which organization has carried out the target killing incident. Police said Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishna Bhat was shot dead.

According to eyewitnesses, the terrorist shot Puran Krishna from behind near his residence. He was the sole earner member of the family. The neighbor said he left behind his two children and wife.
