Sri Lankan cricketer arrested in Australia Sydney police have arrested Sri Lanka’s star cricketer Dhanushka Gunathilaka in connection with a rape case. The Sri Lankan team took off from Australia without Dhanushka on Sunday morning after losing to England. Gunathilaka, who was part of Sri Lanka’s T20I squad, missed any of the matches due to injury. However, the team did not send him to the country and kept him connected with the team. Sri Lanka have included Asen Bandara in place of Dhanushka.

Dhanushka has so far played eight Tests, 47 ODIs and 46 T20Is. Dhanushka’s best score in T20is is 57 and he has scored three half-centuries to his name.
