T20 World Cup : South Africa crash out of World Cup after losing to Netherlands

Adelaide: South Africa lost to the Netherlands in the T20 World Cup today. The Netherlands defeated South Africa by 13 runs in their last Group 1 Super 12 match. With this defeat, the South African team has been knocked out of the World Cup. On the other hand, it has benefited India.

After the defeat of South Africa, India reached the semi-finals with six points in the points table. On the other hand, India will play their last match of the Super 12 against Zimbabwe today.

In today’s match, Netherlands batted first and scored 158 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, South Africa scored 145 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.

In today’s match, South Africa won the toss and invited the Netherlands to bat. The Netherlands scored 158 runs to bat first. Akarman top-scored for the team with 41 runs while Mywarg scored 37 runs. Tom Cooper scored 35 runs, while Mask and Daode scored 29 runs.

The Netherlands could not score a big score when the wickets did not go away from the team. For South Africa, Nartze and Markram took one wicket each while Maharaj took two wickets. On the other hand, not a single south African batsman could score 30 runs. In the end, the team scored only 145 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
