Keonjhar: Thieves openly challenge the police in Keonjhar. Just 10 metres away, in front of the SP’s office in the heart of the city, they cut the wall and looted gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees.

The thieves broke through the wall of Sairam Jewellers and stole gold worth about 500 grams and slipper-shaped silver jewelry worth 5 kg. The shop was filled with gold and silver ornaments as there was a dhantaras ahead. However, taking advantage of the police inaction, the robbers looted lakhs of rupees.

Fortunately, the thieves were unable to break into the shop’s locker, despite their best efforts, and the ornaments inside were left behind. Police reached the spot after receiving information this morning and started investigation
