A drunk constable, who threatened to kill himself inside a police station in Uttar Pradesh, has been suspended by the authorities.

Bareilly: A constable in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly barged into a police station while he was under the influence of alcohol, brandished a country-made pistol and threatened to shoot himself. The incident took place at the Subhashnagar police station in Bareilly on Wednesday.

The accused constable has been identified as Tarachand. Following the incident, the man was sent to a hospital for a medical examination. The doctors found excess alcohol in the man’s blood.
