What is Hardware ?

The parts of the computer that we can see and touch are called hardware. These are the physical parts of the computer. Which make up the body of our computer. like; Keyboard, mouse, cabinet, monitor, printer etc. is all hardware. Software adds life to these hardware. And makes it work. Then we get a living and workable computer machine.

Computer assemblies are rarely changed after assembling once. Especially when the hardware gets out of circulation or the software does not meet the requirement. The best example of computer hardware is Monitor. The device on which you are reading this article. Because Screen is also a type of hardware that counts in the category of output devices.

 Type of Computer Hardware ?

1. System Unit
   It is a type of container in which many electronic devices of the computer are installed. Its shape is like a small box. It is also called CPU in common language. Which are wrong.
2. Input Devices
   Input Device are those devices that deliver instructions given by the user to the computer. Only through these do you send your order to the computer. Only after this the computer does its work.

3. Output Devices
   They are devices that display processed information in human-understandable form, called output devices. That is, with the help of the tools we get the result of the work you want to do. They are called output devices.

4. Internal Parts
   The parts of a computer that are located within a system unit are called internal devices. You cannot see them outside and they are fragile. Therefore, they need a computer case for their protection only.

5. Communication Devices
   In these devices, we keep the devices that make one computer capable of contacting another computer. The most popular tool in this category is Modem.
6. Storage Devices

It is the computing hardware that performs the task of maintaining and storing data. Storage device is one of the core components of any computer device. It stores almost all the data and application on the computer. For example, a standard computer has many storage devices including RAM, Cache and Hard disk.

There are two types of storage device in a computer.

Primary Storage Device – This storage device is used to hold data temporarily. They are very small in size. Due to which it is internal to the computer. The primary storage device has the fastest data access speed. These include Ram and Cache Memory.

Secondary Storage Device – These devices have large storage capacity. In addition, it stores the data permanently (permanently). It is present inside or outside the computer. The main examples of these are optical disk drive, hard disk and USB storage device.
