Why interrogate, arrest and show up; CM Soren’s challenge to ED’s summons

New Delhi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren did not appear before the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday. On the other hand, on this pretext, he has targeted the central government. “If I have committed any crime, why are summons or notices being sent? Come and arrest me.”

Hemant Soren said, “I was summoned by the ED for today when I was scheduled to be in Chhattisgarh. Arrest me if I have committed any crime. What is the need for questioning for this? Why security has been beefed up outside the ED office. Why are you so afraid of Jharkhandia’?

Hemant Soren said, “We have identified some outside gangs in the state. They don’t want adivasis in Jharkhand to stand on their own feet. This state will be ruled by The Jharkhandis, no outside force can take over. The state will be BJP-free in the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections.” On the other hand, JMM workers took to the streets against the ED’s summons to Hemant Soren. Hundreds of workers gathered at the Morhabadi ground in the state capital Ranchi and marched near the chief minister’s residence in a show of strength.
